I have found the solution to this problem. To do follow step-by-step below
1. CLick Start > Run > Services.msc
2. Locate the Print Spooler service, and right-click > Properties > stop service.
3. Open My Computer and browse to c:\Windows\System32\spool\Printers
(you will need to say "oK" to get access to the folder).
4. DELETE the contents of that folder.
5. Restart the Print Spooler service.
6.Go back into the Device & Printer and try removing printers again.
